I am definitely not the epitome of society's beauty standards. By society's standards, I'm too fat, my butt is too square, my face is too round, my hair is frizzy, my breasts are saggy and too large, I'm too hairy, not tall enough and my teeth are crooked. And yet I wouldn't change a single thing about my body. There is a difference between making a personal decision to change your body vs feeling like changing is a necessity due to societal pressure. Once you strip away the layers of body shame, you realise that beauty standards are a choice.. and you can actively choose not to participate.
