Added 2021-04-01 15:55:55 +0000 UTCSo yesterday (March 31st) was the four year anniversary of when I started Nakedbakers, and this video was the very first recipe video I ever made/posted. I love going back and watching this. I was such a baby back then. I used my iPhone to film it because I had no other equipment. It was my first time ever using a video editor too (I used the free version of iMovie). Everything was new to me and I had no idea if anyone was going to like what I was doing, but I really wanted to do it and figured as long as I enjoy what I make, I would always have at least one fan (I still create by that philosophy). . I remember dreaming about where I could take the show if people just believed in me and helped me fund it. At the time I was unemployed and had just enough money to pay rent and buy groceries. I still remember the moment where my ex-boss asked if I wanted to come work on a new show for CBS (I was a production assistant) and I turned him down to focus on Nakedbakers full time. At that point I was about 3 months in and wasn't making enough to cover my expenses, but I really believed in what I was doing and since I was growing subscribers on my Patreon I figured I could live off my savings long enough for the Patreon to start covering basic expenses. It was a gamble, but it paid off and to this day it is the best decision I have ever made in my life. . I feel so fortunate to still be able to wake up and work on Nakedbakers every day and that is all thanks to fans like you. Fans who put aside a little of their money every month so that I can fund the show of our dreams. I seriously can't say enough how happy I am to be able to do this. Thank you all for being here and helping me to continue to make this dream a reality. ❤️ .
