I posted this picture on my insta stories and I’ve been getting so many messages asking me what happened, I thought I’d address it here because I don’t want to post a huge story on my insta, soooo, only read if you care. lol About a month ago, I noticed a large lump emerge from my lower abdomen while I was having sex. After I got an ultrasound, my doctor told me they found a large mass near my uterus. She immediately scheduled me for an MRI a week later. They confirmed a large mass/tumor the size of a PEACH overtop of my uterus just resting on my bladder. She said it could either be a benign tumor or it could be cancer. At this point I’m freaking out, don’t know what to do, who to tell, or if I should even say anything. My doctor then scheduled me an appointment with a gynecologist/cancer specialist. After my talk with him, I felt a lot better. He said it’s most likely just a fibroid, something almost every woman will experience in their lifetime, but there’s no way to tell unless I get it cut out and tested. They are usually nothing to worry about unless they are strategically placed around your ovaries. Mine was. I was scheduled for a Laparoscopy surgery. Basically a robot that the surgeon controls to make the surgery easier. That’s where the small cuts around my stomach came from and the larger cut is where they took the mass out. During my surgery, they had to remove one of my ovaries. 😢 although it doesn’t effect my chances of having a baby, I don’t care much about my fertility, it just depressed me a lot after waking up and finding out my ovary was taken.. I could imagine it’s like the feeling some guys get after having a vasectomy. It doesn’t effect me, it just makes me sad! lol But now I’m almost three weeks post op and I’m starting to feel so much better and a lot less depressed. 😊 I still haven’t heard back about my test results for the tumor but I’m assuming no news is good news right.. ? Hehe 😅
